Jewel Empire Company started trading in 1988, opening two jewel shops in Bree and Lommel.
A third shop opened its doors in 1995 in Maaseik under the name «Jewel Time».
During that period it attracted a large number of clients from the Flanders region. The company‘s prospects were clear and it was decided to expand the business with the objective of offering customers only the best quality and service. 2003 was a year of significant change for the Jewel Time shops. The ideal premises were indentified in the centre of Bree for a new, large shop and all of the smaller Jewel Time shops were merged into that one large site.
